Multivitamin Power Firm

I invested RM199 on this new eye cream. Hopefully it works.

I've been using Total Eye Care, with spf 15 (By Dermalogica) for over a year now but I cant really see the difference. I guess it's probably because I dont really use it everyday. But I use it almost everyday! So it should work, a little bit shouldnt it?

Although some people have told me that I dont look my age (ahem ahem), whenever I look at myself in the mirror, to me...I look old. I kinda look my age :(
especially in photos. I dont like taking photos of myself anymore.

I decided to invest on another eye cream. Apparently using just total eye care is not enough and I was told to apply Multivitamin Power Firm at night and Total Eye Care during the day.

Multivitamin Power Firm is supposed to reduce lines around the eye and lip area. It is also good to firm the skin and can improve smoothness.

(Fingers crossed)

The Best

In my opinion...

The BEST facial : Dermalogica (Duh, cuz I refuse to try anywhere else)
The BEST body scrub : Khareyana Spa
The BEST massage : Khareyana Spa or Energy Day Spa, Mont Kiara
The BEST bath : Sembunyi Spa
The BEST ginger tea : Ozmosis Spa
The BEST spa (Decor) : Energy Day Spa
The BEST foot massage : COZY, Bali
The BEST value-for-money : Khareyana Spa
The BEST shower in a spa : Khareyana Spa
The BEST Steamroom : Sembunyi Spa

If you can combine all the above and have one spa with all that, that'll be fantastic!!!

BodyWorks Spa, Bali

The GM of Sun Island recommended for me to try this spa out. In fact, he gave me 2 options but somehow or rather, they (the villa) booked this one instead of the other one. I think the other one was fully booked or something like that.

I arrived on time for my appointment at 10am. I decided to go for 2 hours massage and that package includes scrub and bath, which means, the actual massage was only about an hour or so.

I was told to wait a moment, while they prepare the room and all that. The spa is huge. It's like a whole villa. Kind of have that roman feel to it.

When I got to the room, I was shocked to see the size. It's huge. Very old-ish feel and it reminds me of Roman Bath. It's different than any other spas I've been to, that's for sure.

Treatment started with the massage. Massage was good and better than the one I had at the Sun Island Spa. It was above average. The massage went on for about an hour or so followed by the scrub. Hmm.....Scrub was ok too but not that thorough.
I still feel that Khareyana's Scrub is the best so far. This one was ok...but they didnt really scrub me that well.

After the scrub, the therapist gave me a shower. After the shower, she covered me with yogurt and left it for about 5 minutes. It felt really weird. Never had yogurt on me before. I think it is supposed to be good for the skin. Apparently the yogurt's enzymes can stimulate cell activity and restore the PH balance of the skin and it's suppose to make your skin feel soft. Hmm.....I guess its true.

Finally it's the flower bath. That was quite nice. The bath was HUGE. I spent about 10 minutes in there and then got changed and treatment was over.

Overall it was good. Above average but I'm sure there are better spas in Bali. In terms of the place itself, it was different but I was hoping to try a traditional Balinese spa. You know, with the nice Balinese architecture and all that. But this one is different so it is a rather pleasant experience.

I really cant wait to go back to Bali to try other spas.

Cozy® Bali

I couldnt wait to start blogging about this place. This is my favourite place in the world! he he he...

When I was at the Villa, the GM recommended for me to try the 1.5 hours foot reflexology at Cozy®. I was like "Whhhatt??! 1.5 hours??! R u serious??!"
He told me that this is the best place to have a foot massage.
I told him to make an appointment for me to check this place out.

My appointment was at 6pm and I was there right on time. I couldnt wait to start I suppose. I was so excited. This place is situated in Kuta. On one of their main roads so I've actually drove past this place and saw the huge signboards a couple of times before. Didnt know what to expect but it looks alright.

When I got inside, I was shocked to see so many people. There's 2 reception area (or was it 3?) to sign people in. Can you believe? And then there's a juicebar behind the centre reception. Once I got there, they took my name and I was told to take a seat at the juicebar. I was tempted to order a drink but at the same time, I was too amazed at the traffic coming and going out of this place that I completely forgot about ordering a drink!

I waited a long while for someone to come to me. About 15 minutes later, this lady came up to me and asked me to pick the oil for my foot massage. I chose the relaxation one. Nice smell of lavender.
Next, I was told to choose my music. WHATTT???!!! You can choose the music you want to listen to during the massage? This is wayyyy too cool.
I picked Jazz music. I think they had all sorts, Rock, Classical, Indonesian etc. You name it.

Only about another 15 minutes later the lady called my name "Ibu Zura..." hhmmm....
I was brought upstairs to the massage area on the first floor. Waooooooaaaaaa!!!!!!!
The area was so nice. It's all white and baby blue decor and they even had fish tanks opposite each massage chair. Too bad we were'nt allowed to take photos. I was in heaven.

The massage was FANTASTIC! The BEST I'VE EVER HAD! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was really really in heaven.
I was also given an ipod to listen to my chosen music. Unfortunately, I didnt know how to operate the damn thing properly so I had no choice but to listen to some weird song, some arabic-ish type of music but kind of funky and kind of jazzy.

On the table next to me, they had this cute note book where you can share your experience. I read some of the stuff written and they all seem to love their massage.
I was tempted to write something but I was too focused on enjoying my massage that I didnt want to do anything else but close my eyes and think of wonderful beautiful thoughts.

After the over an hour long of foot massage, I was also given a head, neck and shoulder massage. It was the best EVER!!! Really. Im not kidding.

All that for guess how much???
Approximately RM25! For an hour and half foot massage with neck, head and shoulder massage as well. You get to listen to the ipod, look at nice fishes in the tank and all that. It really trully was the best experience ever.

If you are in Bali, pls drop by this place and check it out. They have 2 outlets in Bali itself. In Kuta, it is on Sunset Road. They're open daily from 11am till 10pm.

Other than foot massage, they also have full body, head, face massage as well. I wish I had the chance to try everything but unfortunately, this trip is too short!

I'll miss Bali especially for this!

I dont wanna go home!!!! I feel good!

Sun Island Spa, Bali

This is my first spa experience outside Malaysia since I started this blog. I was really excited to experience this especially in Bali.

This is my first time in Bali. I stayed at this wonderful private villa called Sun Island Boutique Villas & Spa in Seminyak. This villa is right smack in the centre of Seminyak and approximately 10 minutes drive from Kuta Beach. Location is fantastic. A lot of shops and a very busy area indeed.

I got this package from Matta Fair last April and the package includes 1 hour spa at the villa. When we checked in, the villa wasnt exactly ready so the kind General Manager of the villa Mr. Ismullah offered us an additional hour at the spa. At first I was only planning to get an hour massage but since we got another free hour, let's just make full use of that!

The Villa is nice with modern contemporary Balinese architecture. I had a very very warm greeting from the lady at the front desk.

The treatment room was ok. Nothing super fantastic, very basic, plain, modern and simple.

I opted for an hour massage and was given a free hour of facial.

Massage was alright, nothing too special. Pressure was a bit too soft for me. The therapist did ask me if the pressure was ok and it is my fault for not pointing out to her but since the whole thing was free (part of the package of this holiday), I didnt expect it to be good. Kind of like what I experienced in Cameron Highlands' Resort. Since it's free, dont expect too much kind of thing.

Next was the facial. I've never gone for facial at a spa before. It's because I am so used to Dermalogica facial that to me, other facials are just not as good.
Well, it's true.

Facial was ok, nothing great. I would say it was all average.
The mask was horrible tho. She left it a bit too long and I was getting a bit too bored and plus, I knew I would get breakouts after that. True enough!

So basically, my first spa experience in Bali is only average. It was a good experience tho and plus, it was free so I cant complain too much.
It was all ok..except for the mask in the end which was so totally bad for my skin.

Since the 1 hour massage was free and since the additional hour (facial) was also free, then I guess it wasnt too bad. I'm not sure if I'd pay to have anything done there but knowing me, I might.

Still it was very nice of the GM to offer us that free facial. At least I got a good face scrub.

Fish Therapy

My colleague came up to me one day to ask about Fish Therapy. She asked if it was good and all that. Of course I said it's the best thing ever!

So one morning, she asked if I got her sms. I said no. She told me that she tried the Fish Therapy in Ikano and the fishes were really big. She went on to say that it was really ticklish and she was screaming and all.

I got really curious. Fish Therapy... big fishes? hmm.....that's interesting. The one I always go to dont have big fishes. Maybe they're better than the tiny fishes?
I must check this thing out.

On Friday, I decided to go to Ikano to try this thing out. My colleague gave me the phone number of the place so I called to ask where the shop is in Ikano and all that.
The guy told me that they dont have a shop. The one in Ikano is just a roadshow and they're actually going from one shopping centre to another or something along that line.

When I got to Ikano, I saw the "area" where they had this roadshow. It is next to Crocs and it's this small tiny hut and the fishes are in this small acquarium/tank thingy. You just sit there and put your legs in. Small tank with wires here and there. Not very nice.

I took a look at those big fishes. First of all, they're bigger than the usual ones I'm used to but they're not THAT big.

RM30 for half an hour.

A lot of people tried.
Since I was there I just tried although I was really disappointed with the whole place. It's this tiny place at the corner.

I was told that the big ones are "sick" and they had to rest them in a seperate tank. So there was only the small and medium sized ones to try.

When I put my legs in, not many came. Apparently if they dont come to you, it means they're probably sick. So I'm not surprised if they're all falling sick especially since the tank dont look all that clean.

In Bangsar, we had to sort of scrub our feet before getting in the pool but this one, you just need to rinse a bit.

So if you're in Ikano, pls dont try this place out. It's not clean!
And for an additional RM8 you can be in a nice place in Bangsar, with nice healthy fishes...

Beijing Natural Health Care

My back was aching, which shows that I've been working too hard. I am starting to feel tired (and lazy) and I need a massage!

Since I was in high school, I've been having this back/shoulder pain everytime I spend too long on the computer. It comes and go but whenever I spend too long in front of the computer, it is a sign that I've been working too hard and therefore deserves some pampering.

I decided to go for a massage but this time, I didnt want those relaxation oil massage. I wanted to go for those pressure point massage. I know a place that does that.... so I head to Beijing Natural Health Care in Taman Tun yesterday. This place is always full and since it was a public holiday and all, on the way there, I was really hoping that they're not. I was desperate for a massage.

Luckily it was empty.

I went for an hour of full body massage. I've been here for a massage about 3 times now.

1st experience was a total nightmare. The masseuse was a lady from China and she couldnt speak a word of English or Malay. I obviously dont understand a word of Chinese. She was this tiny lady but very strong. I kept screaming "Ouch!!!!!" throughout the whole massage and she kept increasing the pressure. I swear never to go back but I went back again the second time. I probably didnt know where else to go for a massage at that time.

2nd experience was a total bliss. This time a Sabahan guy massaged me. I know it is pretty weird but I was fully dressed and all...and tried not to think about it too much. It was all done professionally, no dodgy stuff. It was really good. I think my back was healed totally.

3rd experience yesterday was good too. Surprisingly it was with that same lady from China. My back was hurting so much that I didnt care if it was going to be painful.
But it turned out to be good. She now speaks a bit of English and Malay. She understood the word "Sakit" this time.

My back feels lighter now and much better.

Everyone there dont speak much English and Malay. Just basic words so be prepared. Sometimes it can be a little frustrating trying to explain to them what you want.

An hour body massage (no oil) is about RM60+
They also do reflexology there and they're pretty good. A bit painful but quite nice.
For every 10 treatment you get free 1. Make sure you ask for the loyalty card for them to stamp for each of your visit there to claim for the free treatment.

They're located on the same row as Muhibbah restaurant in Taman Tun.

Enjoy!
